Is there a subscription?
No. BumpBook is a one-time purchase on Etsy. There is no account and no monthly fee.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Windows, Mac and ChromeOS computers, in the browser or installed like an app. On iPhone and iPad, install it before you write anything: the Home Screen app keeps its own storage.
Where is my journal kept?
No account: your journal stays on-device unless you back up, export, share or link devices; linking stores an encrypted copy of your writing on our server, readable only by your devices. We can't recover your journal; keep a backup.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes. Link up to five of your own devices with a six-digit code. Photos stay on the device that added them. A backup file carries them to another device.
How do I move to a new phone?
Create a backup on your current device and restore it on your new phone to copy your journal, including photos. Linking keeps what you write and record in step across your devices, but does not transfer photos.
Does BumpBook print the book for me?
No. BumpBook makes the book's file on your device, in A4, US Letter or 8 × 8 in. Print it yourself or take it to a print service.
